Math is important
because you use it in everyday life, such as school and jobs.
You would need math to get good
grades in school and get a good job.
Jobs you may need for math are: tax
examiner, accountant, astronomer, or a meteorologist.
Those are all great jobs that pay a
lot of money and involve math.
You could get those jobs and be
able to have money to do things.
We use math for: art, money,
engineering and even sports.
Math was invented 5,000 years ago,
but it has improved since then.
We use that improvement to better
our lives and the way we live.
Math is a very important skill to
know in life.

If you think that
math isn’t needed then you should think again.
Math is needed everywhere you go,
every time, and everywhere you look you are always going to see
something that you need math for.
Even though you might think you
don’t, you do need math in life.
Math is needed in many places.
One example is when you go
shopping. You have to count your money to see if you have enough
money to buy what your heart desires.
You also have to see if there is a
sale because it could cost less for you if there is a sale. You also
have to check if it has the full set of clothes.
In addition math is
also needed in sports, like football. You have to keep track of the
points and how much more yards till a first down.
Also in basketball you have to make
an angle to where you are going to shoot the ball.
As well as baseball you have to see
how fast the ball goes and see how much outs there are. When you are
cooking you need to use math for measuring ingredients and how much
time you have to cook it for.
If you didn’t measure then it won’t
come out the same and taste the same.
Along with building
houses you need lots of math. For example, you have to measure, do
angles, and see how much you need of everything.
When you also remodel a house you
might need to measure walls and see how much paint you need.
Being a zookeeper might seem like an easy job but it’s not.
Zookeepers have to count all the
animals, and feed all of the animals too.
Some veterinarians have to count
how much pets they have to attend, so they know how much medicine or
needles they need to use to attend the animals.
As an electrician you
need to use math for lots of things like when you have to know how
much wires to cut.
When you go in attics sometimes you
need to know at what angle you want to cut wires or how much screws
you want to hang up wires.
When you go mining you have to know
how much time you have till you can run out of air.
While you go mining you have to
check if you have enough pickaxes too. In other words when you are
driving you need to know at what limit you have to stay at.
While you are parking you have to
have an angle to where you are going to park at.
You also have to know at what time
you have to stop at when the light is red.
If you are doing
laundry you have to figure out how much clothes you have to put in
the washer.
You also need to know how much soap
you need to put inside of the washer.
One other thing is how long you
have to leave it in the washer. In conclusion I think that you
don’t just need math with money, you need math everywhere and every
day in life.

Math is important
because of many causes.
Reason #1: Math helps us in
building structures.
We use math to build structures
because it helps the structures to stay put.
We use integers for deciding how
tall the building will be, and how much of the building will be
underground.
We would use positive numbers to
determine how tall the building will be and negative numbers to
determine how much of the building will be underground.
We also use math to determine how
much space or weight will the building support.
Math also helps us know how much
building material the building will use.
Reason #2: Destruction of the
buildings.
Angle measurement helps us to
determine where building will fall.
If they didn’t use the angles the
buildings will fall in some other buildings.
Reason #3: measurement.
If we didn’t have measurement, we
wouldn’t be able to determine how tall we are or how much we weigh.
We wouldn’t be able to determine
the depth of the earth or how much juice is in one bottle, or how
long we drove.
Reason #4: Bank accounts and money.
If we didn’t have math we would
never know how much something cost.
We would never know how much money
to give to the cashier.
We also wouldn’t know how much
money we withdrew or deposited in our bank.
So we would have less or more money
than actually we are supposed to have.
Reason #5: temperature.
Without temperature we would never
know if we have a fever or if it is going to be hot or cold.
We wouldn’t know if the bread or
cake was supposed to be cooked at what temperature.
Reason #6: Depth.
If we didn’t know depth, we would
never know what is the safest depth to go under water so humans
wouldn’t get crushed.
If we didn’t have depth, we
wouldn’t know the depth of the Earth’s interior structure.
We wouldn’t ever know how deep the
Earth is.
Reason #7: The most important thing
is math helps us learn.
Math helps kids learn how to
survive in the real world.
They help us learn how to calculate
money, depth, and temperature.
These are some of the reasons why
math is important to us in life.
If we didn’t have math we would
never be able to live.
Thank math for helping us live.

Math is important in
our daily life because we use it at school, at work, and at home.
Everything that you do, it includes
math because wherever we look there are geometric shapes, like a
polygon, hexagon, octagon, heptagon, and etc. Architects and
construction workers use math all the time because if construction
workers made a mistake in math the building might fall on them.
They have to predict if the angles
are right.
A chef always uses measurements to
make the food right, and scientists predict the weather by
instruments and measuring.
Astronauts need math because they
have to predict how many packs of food to bring in space by using
algebra and how many stuff can he take on his rocket.
Math is important if you want to
keep track of how much you’re making and losing in business, and
also as a kid you might want to know how much you’re making and how
can you get your favorite toy or videogame.
Math is used everywhere you go, or
even at home, or even at your job.
That’s why math is important to
every person in the world.
We study math so we can have a
bright future.

Math is important to
us in many ways.
We use math every day and
everywhere on a daily basis.
Without math we can’t do a lot of
things.
One way we use math is when cooking
a meal.
We need the correct measure of
ingredients so the meal won’t taste odd.
Another way we use math is when
making a plan to build a building.
We need to use area, perimeter, and
equations to find out the measure of each room.
Math is also used in
all of the subjects we learn in school, college, and universities.
In the subject math we learn how to
calculate so we can calculate the rent we are paying for an
apartment building.
In science, we use math to find the
area of a project so it won’t be too big or too small and it will be
just right.
In P. E., we use math to measure
how far we ran and the mile time we arrived in.
In language arts, we use numbers to
find what page we are reading in a book.
Without math we won’t get a good
education.
Therefore, math is very important
to the world.

Math is important
because it is everywhere and is used everywhere.
Math is used in sports, your phone,
even on you.
Math is used for geography and art.
It may be used to calculate things
or to know how far and high to throw and to code something.
See, math lets geologists dig up
things and map the sectors.
Math is on your shoes like the size
of the logo and the shoe.
Math is even used to catch a
rodent.
So that rat you have been chasing
you can catch by using math. So remember this, without math we are
cavemen eating dirt.

Math is one important skill every person needs
to learn. Math is used
on an everyday basis, such as time.
We use math in time, and we don’t even realize it!
Math is everywhere from you cooking to people building.
If you’re a cashier, you add up prices and money for change.
Even an architect uses math.
When an architect needs to build a house, they use
measurements. Do you
know how math is used in sports?! For instance, in basketball,
players need to calculate and use angles to get the ball in the
hoop. You see, math is
very important, but if this doesn’t convince you then… What about
technology? From your
phone to the computers at school, they all use math.
All technology uses algebra, time, distance, and more.
Without math, how will all the technology, finances,
buildings, time, etc. exist? Math is so important to us and we don’t
always think about it.
In conclusion, math is essential.
Without it, what will our life be like?

There is no possible way to describe how
amazing math is. An
average person uses math in some kind of way in his or her daily
life. Mathematicians
invented numbers to make new discoveries and solve problems.
The skyscrapers seen in every city have been
constructed using methods for width, area, perimeter, and height.
By using math, a person can find how deep the ocean is or
what quantity of chocolate is needed in a cake.
In fact, a lot of math is used in science.
Scientists measure the distance of Earth from the sun using
the numeric system.
Paleontologists understand the data from ancient fossil sites.
When at the supermarket, people buy soda according to the
different measurements.
The cashiers at the counter do a lot of math in order to give the
customer their change.
As time is passing, math is advancing the technology. Our world is
improving by making discoveries and solving problems.
Math is the key to success.

Math plays a very big role in our daily lives,
and in the following paragraphs you’re going to get a glimpse of how
much math we use every day.
Almost everyone uses math in every sector of their daily
activity. For example,
the computer was designed and created using math.
Also without math, a lot of the knowledge we know wouldn’t
exist, because math plays a very big role in other subjects, like
science. Believe it or
not our lives would be very different without this very crucial
subject.
Math is the key to computers.
Computers are programmed using math.
A lot of the functions and operators in a computer use some
type of mathematic.
Without math our technology wouldn’t be so advanced or even exist.
Imagine all the benefits we drive from using computers in our
existence, from manufacturing to space missions, to name a few.
When products are manufactured in factories, all the
machinery is controlled by high-tech technologies, which are
computers. The computer
controls the machinery with codes that consist of numbers.
All the planning, calculating, and research are done with it.
Without math, NASA wouldn’t be possible!
This is all done with computers.
In addition, anything that uses computers uses mathematics,
and you are probably aware of how many things that consists of.
Math makes many subjects, like science,
possible. For instance,
math always has something to do with astronomy.
It helped us understand our universe.
Math is in the calculations of how far the sun is from us,
and even how far we are from the middle of our galaxy, the Milky
Way! In science,
mathematics is an analytic tool applied to experimental data, in
order to generate a formula that describes some tendency of nature.
Mathematics can also be used with an existing theory to
deduce an unknown quantity.
Half of the sciences we know today wouldn’t be possible
without math.
Math is universal.
It helps us accomplish many tasks, whether they are big or
small. This language of
numbers is of very great importance in our existence and
accomplishments. We
didn’t invent math concepts, we discovered them.
Math makes life possible.
Ria Jain
Math is very important to our modern world.
Without math, many things achieved by people wouldn’t be
possible. Math made it
possible to make rockets and go to the moon.
Robots and computers are programmed/created using binary (a
form of math). Math is
also used in astronomy.
We use it to predict eclipses, when comets will arrive, and to help
find galaxies, planets, and stars.
Math is also used in everyday life.
To cook, you use math to predict how much time it will take
you to make the food.
You also measure the amount of ingredients needed in the food.
One simple thing that uses math is time.
When you look at the clock, you know exactly what time it is.
MATH has made our world advanced and modern.
David Roh
Math is what advances human knowledge.
Math, always evolving, is everywhere from ancient India to
New York. Math forms
around everything in daily life from 90 degree street corners to the
internet. Without math,
the world would never be able to advance and it would be very
confusing. Math makes life convenient.
Ancient India created the Hindu-Arabic numeral to count large
numbers for large trading.
Math created medicine and other methods, with chemistry, to
save lives in a safer way, without using unnecessary bleeding or
chopping of body parts.
Math makes life safer.
Since I live in the Bay Area, I know math is important in
earthquakes. The
buildings can be enforced with steel in specific angles.
Seismographs must be measured and estimations of next
earthquakes would be all types of math.
Math is not just numbers and education; it is
part of history, science, and literature, from convenience to
safety. Math may seem boring sometimes, but it is the skill that
humans are most skilled at and depend on.
Vallejo Mill Elementary
Netah Golan
Math is really important around the world.
What could you do without numbers and the basics of counting?
Nothing. Let’s
say you are passing college or getting into college.
Since math is important in what you are going to do, you
can’t do either of them without it.
Try cash, for example.
If you are getting a job to make a living, you need to know
how much you are getting.
While you are buying, you need to know how much you are
paying. How about
measurement? Say you are
a nurse at a hospital.
If you’re a nurse, you need to know how much medicine you’re putting
in a really ill person’s body, or even how much string is used for
wound stitching. A
person with an artificial leg or arm would be in a bad shape if the
nurse doesn’t know how long the leg/arm needs to be cut off.
Let’s move on to area and volume.
A person who is building a house needs to measure the area
and volume if the house needs to be in good shape.
Time is important too.
You need to know how much time you have to do something or
the deadline if you don’t want to be late.
Teachers especially need to know math.
Their students’ future depends on it.
Math is so important that without it, you wouldn’t be
educated enough.
Inah Yi
Math is in every minute, in every hour of the
day. Some people see
math as numbers and problems, but the way others see it is a way of
understanding. Math is
in almost everything, from the mechanics used to make products, to
the programming on this computer.
Scholars use math like another language, to teach students
about how things work and how they function.
In school, students learn how to solve problems and learn new
things. With the
correct calculations, math could make things like skyscrapers and
airplanes! Without it,
some things wouldn’t be like what they are right now.
Timelines for our history wouldn’t be recorded and important
evens could be lost in the past.
Medicines to help sick or injured could be harmful without
the correct dosage. Many
people would be ill and sick.
Computers wouldn’t exist because of the math needed in the
programming. Even cars
need math to work! The
importance of math is in our education and learning, as well as
everyday life. This is
what I have learned about how math is important in our society and
economy. Thank you for
listening.
