OVERCOMING GRAVITY - FRISBEE
OBJECTIVE:
Identify why different designs have different flying patterns.
BACKGROUND:
A frisbee is an
aerodynamically designed saucer. Discuss with students the form of the
different frisbees to make sure that they notice the difference. You
must go over safety rules, because a frisbee that is tossed without
looking can be a weapon.
PROCEDURE:
Materials-3 types of frisbees.
Look at the different frisbees and look at the structure of each. Either draw a picture or
describe its shape in the space provided below. Then follow the
directions of your teacher and record the type of flight. In your
conclusions discuss why one frisbee is better than the others and
discuss why.
PROBLEM:

HYPOTHESIS:
