2007

The Math Science Nucleus was not able to secure any funding to work specifically on Duck Island.  The tules that were planted in 2005 did not survive.  The currents removed most of them, except for one clump on the northeastern part of the island.  However, a group from Irvington High School (Jasper Lin, Brian Lee, Michael Muldoon and George Sebastian) spend a day with staff member, Katie York to work on the island.  They planted 4 willows, 1 Valley Oak, and 1 Buckeye.

Several willows were planted to try and keep the bank from eroding
