ORIGINS  

Featuring the Wieckowski Widescreen that allows you to travel through earth and beyond as you are immersed into learning. Miller Satelite helps children blast into space.  Also includes Hallway through Time  Exhibit which shows how the Earth evolved from 4.5 billion years ago to the present.


 

DYNAMIC EARTH
I
ncludes collection that illustrate how minerals are grouped by their chemical composition. The rocks show the major sedimentary, metamorphic, and igneous rocks found in California.  Includes the

 Debbie Dome, to look at the rotating Earth.

PHIL GORDON NATURE HALL

The Present is Key to the past. Observe ciomponets of the Tree of Life including Animalia (vertebrates and invertebrates) and Plantae, both fossils and living.  Observe the Sabertooth Cat replica and compare with mountain lion bones.  Compare fossils organisms from the Paleozoic, Mesoic and Cenozoic. See the Megalon jaw and teeth.


WES GORDON FOSSIL HALL

Including "Irvingtonian Fossils", the "Boy Paleontologist" Room, "Bones of Vertebrates," and "Environments through Time" exhibits.  View the fossils from Irvington and Warm Springs District that provide clues for a changing landscape in the East Bay.
