This project is needed because many stray cats and raccoons in the local area struggle to survive due to a lack of safe and reliable shelter. Today's world is forcing wildlife to seek refuge in unsafe or inconvenient areas such as under decks, in garages, or near roadways. By building durable, weatherproof shelters, this project directly improves the welfare of these animals by giving them protection from rain, cold, and extreme temperatures.

On a broader level, the project benefits the local community by promoting humane and responsible coexistence with local wildlife. Providing proper shelters can reduce property damage, noise disturbances, and potential health risks associated with animals seeking unsafe shelter near people's homes. It also supports local animal control and rescue organizations by reducing the number of animals in distress, allowing them to focus resources more effectively.

Most importantly, the project serves as a model of environmental control and compassion which encourages others in the community to take part in caring for animals and respecting shared ecosystems. It helps build awareness that small actions can have a lasting positive impact on both wildlife and the people who live alongside them.

The beneficiary needs more shelters as they have just doubled in raccoon population. With the addition of these shelters, these new babies can sleep and be fed at these stations.
