Science is important because it helps to improve our lives. Science is all around us and it has given the world a lot of different kinds of knowledge.

We use science in our daily lives. There is Pure Science that helps us understand the universe and it’s inhabitants. Applied Science uses scientific facts to help us make things that are useful to us.

Science helps people and the world grow and change with scientific discoveries.

The cave people discovered a way to make fire, to make tools to hunt, and man just kept right on going and creating all kinds of things to survive and become what we are today. We have more time for recreation and community activities. We don’t hunt our food anymore to eat.

Scientific progress has made life easier and nicer in our homes. A housewife years ago had to spend almost all day washing and sewing clothes, cooking and preserving food, cleaning the house and taking care of the fire in the fireplace. Thanks to science it has given us electric energy to run washing machines, sewing machines, refrigerators, heating and air conditioning to keep our houses comfortable. Electric lights have replaced candles, oil lamps and gas flames that were used in the old day to light our houses. Frozen foods and automatic stoves help us make our foods easier and faster. Detergents have made cleaning and washing easier too. Being a housewife today is easier than it was 100 years ago.

In agriculture it has helped farmers produce more food and livestock. The invention of tractors replaced farm horses and it des the work of 50 horses.

In manufacturing science has moved from the home and small shops to big factories, which has given us mass production and automation. Any new development in science that gives us new products, help us create millions of jobs.

In medicine, science has given people longer, healthier lives. Scientists developed vaccines to prevent diseases and medicines to cure the sick.

In the community scientists look into almost every daily activity in order to improve the way we live. They study family life, what we like, how we live, what we are in need of.

In War, science has developed many weapons to help us defend ourselves. The rocket that sends a guided missile can also launch a satellite in outer space to help us learn more about the universe.

Scientific discoveries can either help us, or hurt us. It is up to the people of the world to choose how to use them.

Science is important to us because it teaches us about ourselves, our earth and our universe. Kids are always asking questions like what makes the wind blow? How does a bird fly? These questions are a normal part of growing up. Today knowledge is being discovered at such a fast pace, there more questions asked now then in the past.

Science is important to us because it has influenced our living greatly. It is the basis of much modern technology that makes our lives and work easier. There are four major groups of Science. 1. Mathematics and Logic 2. Physical Sciences 3. Life Sciences 4. Social Sciences.

Things we have today, our grandparents and parents did not have. I am eleven. When my mom was eleven she did not have a microwave oven. When my grandfather was eleven he did not have a television to watch.

I can fly to Concord and be in Paris in three hours. When my mother was my age, she had jet planes that took seven hours to fly to Paris.

The police use Science to convict criminals. It is called DNA testing.

Almost everything is Science. You and I are a part of Science. Through Science we have discovered medicines to cure many people of diseases. One day soon someone will find a cure for AIDS. Hopefully through science we will find a solution to famine all over the world. The Science of today and tomorrow promises to improve our understanding of our universe and give us greater control over nature.

I think science is important because without it, life would be very, very different. For instance, if people hadn’t discovered how to use medicine to cure diseases, many people wouldn’t live to be very old. We wouldn’t have been able to study marine life, and have as much fun as we do now.

Science also has to do with electricity, which is a very important part of life. If we didn’t have electricity, people would still be depending on candles to light their homes, and we wouldn’t have things like television or computers.

If we didn’t have science, people wouldn’t know how important things like cars or airplanes are. This would be a big problem because then, people wouldn’t be able to get to the places where they might need to be, and if a real emergency occurred people might not be able to get to places such as the hospital.

Another very important reason why we need science is for handicapped people. An example would be, if people who couldn’t walk didn’t have wheelchairs. They wouldn’t be able to get around or even meet people. But luckily, now we do have wheelchairs for these people and elevators for then too.

People today owe a lot to science. Without it, many things that we have today wouldn’t even exist. Were very, very lucky to have science today and I think we should all be grateful to the people that helped create it.

Science is important because it affects everyone and their everyday life. We need and use science to improve our world. It is a way for us to explain and control everything around us. It has brought new discoveries and I hope many more are still to come.

So far science has made our lives last longer, more fun and much easier. It has given us things such as television, radios, telephones, computers, cars, planes, trains, rockets and satellites. It has given us medicine discoveries that help us fight all kinds of terrible diseases. All of this wouldn’t exist without science.

Science lets us take facts in the world, test them and then solve a problem. This is the scientific method. It is important that scientists follow this method because there are still unsolved problems in our world. We still have sicknesses that we need to cure. We have pollution and global warming that we need to study. We still need to explore the universe more. We still need to know what foods are best to eat.

Science is important to our lives on earth. We need to know what things happen, how things happen and why things happen in our world. This is why science is important.
