Recording how elements and compounds react is called a chemical
equation. However, it is
important to really understand the formula of the different
compounds that are used in the reaction.
This chapter looks in more detail at the development of the
chemical formula and allows the students to create models to help
them visualize the different compounds.
We will be highlighting hydrocarbons because they are important to our
everyday life from plastics to gasoline.
