Ice Age Ground Sloths found  in Fremont

Join us March 12, 2026, Thursday at the Children’s Natural History Museum for an exciting lecture about the extinct ground sloths who roamed in Fremont. Paleontologist and UC Santa Cruz PhD candidate, Gaetano Palazzo, will also compare ground sloths with living tree sloths.  After the presentation, audience can ask questions and touch real sloth fossils!  Come 15 minutes early and take pictures with the new sculpture by Brian Engh in the sloth patio.
