this land, ranging from the Muwekma Ohlone, the
Spanish, the Mexicans, the Californios, and the

California Nursery save countless lives just by

The Niles area was a large village of the Ohlone
tribe. Learn how they used the land for
hunting, fishing, and shelter.

owls that live in the park and learn the unique ways they hunt. Students will search for
owl pellets and bones, dissecting the remains of the
birds' prey.

horses as their way of transportation and work to
round up cattle.

The California Nursery Historical Park
is finally open for classes. This once was home to the
largest growing nursery in the west coast. The
agriultural is so exciting as Niles became a hub for
international influnece.
features and exhibits that open your eyes to Fremont's
agricultural history. These classes will uncover through a
child's eye, not only the history but the science that made
it so important.
The park is 21 acres and each
class will do hands on experiments using the different areas
of the park and buildings. Your children will be so
impressed with this area, they will educate the whole
family.
