Hayward Fault Planning Meeting
150th Anniversary of  Great Quake (1868)

The 150th Anniversary of the Great Quake (1868) will be on Oct 21, 2018.  This planning meeting is for agencies and individuals who are are interested in events along the Hayward Fault in Fremont.  Come at 9:30 for refreshments and walk on the Hayward Fault and see earthquake displays we already have at Tule Ponds at Tyson Lagoon. The meeting will start at 10:00.  Dr. Joyce Blueford will go over plans at Tule Ponds, and possible plans at Central Park where the City of Fremont will have installed new signs throughout the park showing evidence of creep along the Hayward Fault. Margaret Thornberry, President of Fremont Cultural Arts Council will co-host the meeting.   Topics can range from scientific to hazards.  If you have any questions please contact Joyce at blueford@msnucleus.org or call (510 790-6284
